Hycount Plastics & Chemicals was commissioned four decades ago at Kollam for manufacturing uPVC pipes for potable water supply. Our founder, the late Prof. M.K.A. Hameed, realized the importance of developing the plastic processing industries in the state much ahead of the contemporaries. He led a movement to spread awareness about quality PVC pipes for the need to replace the conventional G.I pipes for water supply.
Hycount Plastics & Chemicals manufactures high quality PVC pipes and allied products employing the state of the art technology. Being made out of virgin raw materials Hycount pipes are highly hygienic. The mirror-smooth interior permits frictionless flow of fluids leading to considerable saving in energy.
At present Hycount has an install-capacity over 9000 tons per annum. Considering the high installed capacity, we have started manufacturing of Electrical conduits, which is of immense demand in the regional market. This is our step towards diversification to cater to the ever-increasing needs of our customers. Our main input materials are supplied by the renowned companies in the country like Chemplast, Reliance Industries Limited and DCW.
From 2022 onwards, we have developed Paint & Speciality coating division mainly servicing the Primers segment with plans to add further product segments in the upcoming months and years.

The company obtained certification mark license from the Bureau of Indian Standards to use ISI mark on pipes as per IS: 4985 under the license No.CM/L- 2016732. The organization is operating quality management system certificate as per ISO 9001:2008 and environment management system certificate as per ISO 14001 and is certified by British Standards Institution accredited to UKAS. It has also adopted a system to achieve excellence in quality management in all areas of its operation. We are in the process of implementing total quality management (TQM) and NABL accreditation criteria as per ISO 17025 in our organization.

One way our quality products reach the public is through our uninterrupted supply of products with uniform and stable pricing to our trusted dealers, most of them hardware vendors from South India. We have around 4000 dealers cooperating with us from inside Kerala, and around 2000 from South India. Since years, they have been with us and they’re our backbone, a major and unavoidable part of our success.
