Hycount Plastics & Chemicals was commissioned two decades ago at Kollam. The late Prof. M.K.A. Hameed a visionary industrialist realised the importance of developing the plastic processing industry in the state much ahead of his contemporaries. He led a movement for spreading awareness for quality PVC pipes for repalcing the conventional G.I. pipes for water supply particularly for drinking water, irrigation and drainage purpose in the region.
