Achievements in Quality


We shall continually improve the effectiveness of the quality management system The organization is operating Quality Management System Certification as per ISO 9001. The organization has installed state of the art machines for improved production. The organization is doing continuous monitoring of customer needs and as per the latest market survey the overall customer satisfaction level is quite high. The organization is socially quite active. It supplies high quality UPVC pipes at affordable rates for various social welfare schemes. It also supplies its product to orphanages and social welfare organizations for their use free of cost. The organization supports environment protection through Recycling of water, Rain Water Harvesting and Social forestry, etc. The organization is holding BIS Certification license for UPVC Pipes.

QUALITY CONTROL DEPARTMENT
The company has a quality control department under the supervision of Quality Manager to ensure quality at all levels. The quality control department works round the clock to synchronise with the round the clock shift system of the plant.
Hycount Pipes maintain the quality of the products as per the revised and the latest standard IS 4985 which also is inline with the ISO 4422:1992 international standards on product quality.

QUALITY SYSTEM
The Company has an established document system and maintains quality system as a means of ensuring that product conforms to specified requirements.

QUALITY SYSTEM MANUAL
The company has a Quality Manual covering the requirements of the international standard ISO 9001:2008. This quality manual applies to all activities which contribute to the quality of the product produced by M/s. Hycount Plastics & Chemicals, Kollam. It includes or makes reference to the quality system procedures and outlines the structure of the documentation used in the quality system.

QUALITY SYSTEM PROCEDURE
The company has documented procedures consistent with the requirements of the international standard and company's own stated quality policy. The company is determined to effectively implement the quality system and its documented procedures.

ROUTINE CHECKS IN THE LAB
There are documented procedures to check the raw material quality at the procurement. Predetermined work instructions have been followed for batch wise quality checks during the in process operations such as compounding, extrusions, socketing etc...
Quality control department will carry out approval tests for dimensions and physical acceptance at the commencement of production of each size of pipes. Tests as per IS terms are conducted 24 hours after production. Data and observations are fed into the computer to generate the tests status of each batch during 8 hour production. Relevant data pertaining to raw materials, compounding and production parameters and tests observations are recorded for tracing the production history of a particular batch. This data base enables the company to find the production details of each batch on any date to take/preventive measures for quality improvement.

CUSTOMER CARE CELL
The customer care cell is functioning directly under the top management. While it is the paramount importance to the company maintain the quality of products and very cordial customer relations, the company give due importance to investigate and analyze the complaints from the customers, if any. In addition to remedial action on top priority customer care cell also takes preventive and corrective actions to resist the complaints of same nature.

Audit


Internal Audit

The company has established documented procedure for planning and implementing Internal Quality Audits to verify whether quality activities and related results comply with planned arrangements and also determine the effectiveness of the quality system.
Trained personal who are independent of the function being detailed to undertake internal audits.
Audits findings are brought to the attention of the personnel responsible for the area audited who undertake timely action as appropriate.
Follow - up audit activities are carried out to verify and record the implementation and effectiveness of the corrective action taken.

External Audit


Hycount Plastics & Chemicals and all its activities are periodically audited by external auditors; particularly the BSI auditors specialized in various fields to evaluate its total quality management system and to ascertain the relevancy of its environmental quality concerns and commitments.
